Responsibilities
Our client, a Major Financial Services
Organization located in New York City is
seeking a Financial Institutions Credit
Manager with 8 + years Corporate Finance
experience to join their Credit Risk
Management Team. The
ideal candidate will be responsible for
analyzing financial institutions including
but not limited to US Banks, broker dealers
and finance companies. The incumbent will
be analyzing credit exposures including
investments, derivatives, ABS structures and
other potential credit risks. This
individual will have exceptional financial
modeling and financial analysis skills as
well as prior financial statement analysis
experience.

Perform in
depth corporate credit analysis
of financial institutions
including US banks, broker
dealers and finance companies

Analyze
credit exposures including
investments and other financial
products
-
Make
collective exposure
recommendations based on
analysis
-
Analyze
financial statements and
determine risk grades
-
Perform
industry and market analysis and
conduct financial reviews
-
Assist with
the credit approval process and
make credit recommendations
-
Conduct
credit reviews on accounts
submitted to credit committee
for approval
-
Analyze
credit risk and apply risk
ratings to a broad group of
entities
-
Interface
with credit committee to discuss
credit, policy, compliance, and
problem matters on a bi-weekly
basis.

Qualifications
-
6 + years
of Corporate Credit Analysis
experience from a major
financial institution preferably
a commercial or investment bank
– covering financial
institutions including
specifically US Banks and Broker
Dealers
-
Strong
Analytical skills are essential

Excellent
verbal and written communication
skills needed to present and
document credit matters.

Proficiency
with MS Office
-
BS / BA
Degree in Finance or related
field required – Masters Degree
a plus

Formal
credit training at a financial
institution or rating agency
highly preferred.
