Responsibilities
Our client, a
Multifaceted investment firm with offices in
NYC and NJ is seeking a Programming and
Development Manager.
Work week will
be spent supporting the organization from
mid-town Manhattan and NJ (PATH) locations.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm.
Reporting to IT Director, responsibilities
will include:

Manage a technical team with
diverse skills (VB, .Net,
AS400), and coordinate
application development
activities of all associated
project teams.

Direct all staff members and
outside development service
providers in the development,
implementation and support of
applications to meet the end
user’s business requirements.

Vendor Management. Work with
vendors to evaluate, analyze and
recommend new technology
solutions.

Coordinate with Network
Administration and Service Desk;
optimize technical architecture
and systemic interfaces, backup
and disaster recovery plan for
all transaction systems

Qualifications
-
7+ years of development
experience supporting enterprise
environment;

Minimum 2+ years experience as
Team Lead or Manager, managing
application system development
in a financial system
environment.

Core technical skills: VB, .Net,
AS400, with a discipline in
Change Management and SDLC
(software development life
cycle).

Technical hands-on experience to
assist developers in time of
need as well as share in the
overall workload.

Education: Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science or related
field.
